This is an excellent album made by unknown musicians. Sugar Loaf : "(...) A group popular around the American Air Bases (...)" as the short article printed on the back cover says.
The tunes in this album are pretty much similar to some of the best 1960s Mohawks compositions. Outstanding Bass lines, Funky horns, a contagious beat ponctuated by Hammond organ touches. An album that will sure fill your dance floor or your parties

The single taken from the album :
A really Funky Jazz album released in 1965. The funky numbers are : "Blue Organ", "CC Rider", What'D I Say" and ''I Got A Woman''. All instrumentals, all funky !I first bought the single when I realised ''Blue Organ'' was taken from an album. I then ventured to buy the LP. Great surprise ! The other tracks are as good as "Blue Organ". Bobby Emmons, an underrated organist who should have deserved more recognition (he nonetheless wrote songs for Elvis Presley during the 1960s and the 1970s)

Certainly not the most sought after Goraguer's but a great score in my opinion. Two tracks stand out from the rest of the soundtrack : ''Générique Maona" & "Vendredi 13". Particular emphasis is placed on percussions and horn section in a very Michel Magne's manner.
